Union County will once again take center stage in advanced transportation innovation as the Ohio’s Future of Mobility Conference returns on August 19 at the Automotive & Mobility Innovation Center.

This year’s theme, “From Concept to Connected,” highlights how cutting-edge mobility systems, from autonomous logistics to AI-powered infrastructure are being implemented in real-world environments today.

Hosted in The Beta District, the conference will bring together industry leaders, public partners, and innovators to explore connected transportation systems, advanced air mobility, electrification, and the infrastructure needed to support continued growth.

Free Small Business Training

Small business owners and entrepreneurs can take advantage of a free virtual training opportunity hosted by Heritage Ohio and Merchant's Edge on August 12 at 8:30 a.m. The webinar, Customer Loyalty: Building Connection Through Small Gestures, will provide practical strategies for strengthening customer relationships, increasing repeat business, and building stronger community connections. Participants will learn affordable customer retention techniques that can be implemented immediately, regardless of business size. The session also includes a live Q&A with small business consultant Andrea Hoover.

New Albany Company Expands to Marysville

A major investment in Marysville is helping position Union County for continued economic growth and future business attraction. Union County Fair 2026 Wraps Up 180th Year

The 2026 Union County Fair brought another successful week of community celebration, agriculture, entertainment, and family fun to Marysville. Held July 26 through August 1 at the Union County Fairgrounds, the fair welcomed residents and visitors from across the county to celebrate the traditions that make Union County a special place to live and work.

Throughout the week, local youth showcased the results of their hard work through 4-H and FFA projects, livestock exhibitions, and skill competitions. The fair continues to serve as an important opportunity for young people to develop leadership skills, demonstrate their accomplishments, and connect with the community. Families enjoyed viewing exhibits, supporting local exhibitors, and learning more about Union County's rich agricultural heritage.

In addition to the livestock shows and judging events, fairgoers enjoyed a variety of attractions, food vendors, rides, entertainment, and community activities. The fairgrounds were filled with opportunities for residents to gather with friends and neighbors, creating memories and strengthening community connections.

Jonathan Alder High School is excited to launch Pioneer Pop Ups, a new initiative designed to connect students with colleges, military representatives, local businesses, trade organizations, and industry professionals. In response to student, family, and staff requests for more career and postsecondary information, these job fair-style opportunities will bring community partners directly into the high school during lunch periods, allowing students to explore future pathways without missing instructional time.

Through Pioneer Pop Ups, students can learn about careers, training programs, educational opportunities, apprenticeships, and employment options while building valuable connections for the future.
