Union County–Marysville to Launch Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

MARYSVILLE, Ohio – Union County, Ohio and the City of Marysville will officially unveil their new Economic Development Strategy (EDS) on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, marking a significant step forward in positioning the community for long-term economic growth and competitiveness.

Developed in partnership with Boyette Strategic Advisors, the Economic Development Strategy is a comprehensive, data-driven roadmap designed to support business retention and expansion, attract targeted industry sectors, and guide future investment in infrastructure and site development.

The strategy is grounded in extensive community engagement and analysis. Throughout the process, Boyette Strategic Advisors met with more than 100 stakeholders—including business leaders, public officials, and residents—and gathered more than 1,700 survey responses to help shape the plan’s recommendations and priorities.

“This strategy reflects the voices of our community and provides a clear path forward,” said Terry Emery, City Manager, City of Marysville. “It ensures that Union County and Marysville remain competitive while fostering sustainable growth that benefits residents, businesses, and future generations.”

“The development of this strategy represents a strong collaboration between local government, the business community, and our residents,” said Bill Narducci, Union County Administrator. “It provides a disciplined, long-term framework for making strategic investments, aligning our resources, and ensuring that as we grow, we do so in a way that preserves the character of our community while expanding opportunity for all.”

In addition to strengthening economic competitiveness, the EDS outlines key priorities in workforce development, housing, placemaking, and regional collaboration. Together, these focus areas establish a balanced approach to growth that enhances quality of life while supporting a strong and resilient local economy.
