Manufacturing Month

October is recognized as Manufacturing Month in Ohio, designed under the state law to highlight the importance of manufacturing to Ohio's economy and improve awareness of manufacturing careers. Throughout the month, manufacturers, schools, and community partners are encouraged to showcase modern manufacturing through facility tours, hands-on activities, and career exploration oppportunities.

In Union County, Manufacturing Month provides an opportunity to connect students with local manufacturers, demonstrate the technology and skills used in today's workplaces, and help build awareness to future career pathways. Events such as Crafted in Union County bring students and employers together to strengthen the local workforce pipeline and highlight the vital role manufacturing plays in our community.
